Part I – Introduction to Acrylic Painting includes four downloadable colour photos that accompany the lessons: an apple, an orange, two lemons and a bunch of grapes. Georgia took these photographs so you would have very clear images with have good colour and tonal values. They easily demonstrate the colour knowledge you learn in the colour theory class. The first three photos each focus on a primary colour and its complimentary colour and how they enhance each other. The fourth photo, a bunch of grapes, combines all the colours.During each painting lesson, Georgia explains, in easy to understand steps, how to proceed with a painting: prepping your canvas, how to map out your drawing, why you need to paint an underpainting, the proper use of brush strokes, an introduction to blending and glazing, and how to set up your palette.
